One of the things I like to visit when I’m in a new city is the aquarium and the zoo. I visited the aquarium in Barcelona a couple of times, but this weekend I found a pair of tickets at a discount of 50% of Groupon, so I went to visit this wonder again. The Aquarium of Barcelona is home to over 11,000 fish and marine creatures of 450 different species and is one of the largest aquariums in the world. This is a fun place for children, which can make a night of camping with the fish, and for adults who have the opportunity to dive with sharks. The Aquarium was visited by 14 million people since its opening in 1995. It also features exhibitions, a café, shops, auditoriums and other services.

One of the strengths of Aquarius is an underwater tunnel 80 meters long called the “Oceanarium”. It’s like giving a long walk in the water next to the sharks and other creatures that swim on you and on your head. One of the most special you can do the Barcelona Aquarium is diving with sharks. In this activity, the intrepid tourists are introduced into a tank of 4 million liters of water in which to observe closely the behavior of sharks and other aquatic animals. Unfortunately, you will need to soak the patent of dives and 300€ to invest!
