Top 5 Attractions not to Miss in Barcelona



Not all cities can offer that Barcelona has. One of the hottest destinations in Europe, with its unique architecture which can be seen throughout the city, with lots to do and a fantastic climate is the perfect destination for your summer vacation. If this summer you will spend your holidays here in Barcelona I want to point out 5 monuments not to be missed:


Sagrada Familia
Barcelona has so much to offer a tourist. Attractions that are not to be missed are Gaudi’s La Sagrada Familia, Barcelona’s most famous land mark that after 100 years and counting is still in construction. From the outside, looking up you will be amazed at the extent of art and building work that has gone into this wonderful Cathedral.

Las Ramblas
Head over to Las Ramblas, Barcelona’s main street and entertain yourself with a bit of people watching. Street performers, market stalls and the Placa Reial can be found just off the main street where you can also find some of Guadi’s designer lamposts.

Parc Güell
Go visit Parc Guell where more of Guadi’s work is in place. Although it was another piece of his work uncompleted the park offers a nice walk through to see the gingerbread houses, fountains and the unique ceramic statues.

Museo Picasso
Moving on to Picasso, the museum has one of the best showcases from the famous Artist. Found on Carrer Montcada, a very popular street in Barcelona, you can go on a guided tour and get an indepth talk on the collections of one of the most famous artists in World.

Montjuic
If you are feeling energetic go climb up the Montjuiic. With great views from the top, it is a bit of a hike but the views are worth it. See the scattered buildings from the 1992 Olympic games including the fabulous Santiago Calatrava. Those that do make it to the top are close are in reaching distance of the Jardi Botànic and the Olympic stadium.
